This is our original pocket fire starting kit. We have been selling this fire starting since 1989

All of our kits are tested in the wilderness before we offer them for sale. Kaeser Wilderness Firestarting and survival kits are made to perform every time under the most severe conditions. 100% natural Fatwood fire-starting sticks, hand-cut in the U.S, jute soaked in natural hot soy wax, produced from soybeans, and a Ferro rod that lasts for thousands of strikes and 3" striker. l have used this kit while backpacking the Pacific Crest Trail from California to Canada, it'll dependably start a fire very quickly in all kinds of weather. Fatwood has been used for hundreds of years to start fires because it's naturally soaked in the tree's resin. No chemicals are used here. Ignites instantly burns very hot. Cut from dead pine stumps left after logging, we never cut live trees. Perfect for survival kits, backpacking, hiking, and camping. Fatwood never lets you down in emergencies. The jute twine is soaked in soy wax and lights on fire very quickly with the sparks from a Ferro rod just cut off a 3" piece and fray the ends. Each kit is put together by hand. Thanks for looking. See you out on the trail. Steve Kaeser
