This is a solid, well-made Ferro rod and handle. The item feels great in the hand and will no doubt last for many years. The rod protrudes roughly 4 3/4 inches from the fatwood handle. A great shower of sparks is produced after the black coating is removed from the rod. The handle feels great in your hand.

This is the fire starter to buy. Being able to buy a USA-made, hand-crafted item at this price point is amazing. I will be buying more for gifts. If I am willing to part with them.

This handy l fire starter feels great in your hand and did the trick. First time using one and had a fire in 5 minutes with just some kindling I made out in the woods. Plenty of sparks will definitely buy more now that I see how well it performed. T.
